Is Baking Powder weird or am I?

Yeah, I opened myself up for that one.
I bake a lot. I do not like the taste of baking powder you buy at the grocery store. It has a weird after taste to me--maybe minerally? Tinny? Weird? Whatever it is- I don't like it. So I make my own baking powder. It is super easy and doesn't taste funny.
It is proportional--this way you can mix it in as big of batches as you need. Use tsp, T or cup, whatever, as long as you keep the proportions.
Baking Powder
2 parts cream of tartar
1 part corn starch
1 part baking soda
if you are using teaspoons- then 2 tsp cream of tartar, 1 tsp cornstarch and 1 tsp baking soda. It can be made using any type of measurement this way.
I usually make it with 1 c cream of tartar, 1/2 c cornstarch and 1/2 c baking soda because I bake a lot. I can use it up before it loses its "power". Otherwise, just make up small batches or make it as you need it.
